Arizona to Utah to Nevada Road Trip With A 1 Year Old – Hikes And Sights At National Parks.

This video has been a year in the making. My daughter is 2 1/2 years old now; she was around 1 when we did this road trip starting from Arizona, driving up to Flagstaff to hike the Red Mountain Trail. Then we continued onto Grand Canyon National Park. From Grand Canyon NP, we drove to Page, AZ, for Horseshoe Bend and Lower Antelope Canyon. From Page, we drove to Monument Valley, UT.

After stargazing and watching the sunrise with the monuments as the backdrop we proceeded to Zebra Slot Canyon at Grandstaircase Esclante and Bryce Canyon National Park. The snowy hoodoo landscape was quite a sight to behold. From Bryce, we drove to Las Vegas, NV as our final stop of the road trip, because why not after being on the road for a week.

Road tripping and hiking with a 1 year old is hard work. My daughter hated car rides and the child carrier. Which is why she was constantly whining and complaining during the Lower Antelope Canyon tour and for parts of the Bryce Canyon NP hike. Although, the cold and possibly altitude probably had something to do with it too. Luckily, she has grown to enjoy her carrier when I take her out on hikes and is now fine with car rides. Anyways, heads up, there are toddler whines in this video, especially the Lower Antelope Canyon part.
