Recorded back in February of 2017… To celebrate my friend, Tom’s birthday, we went up to Lake Placid for some winter activities. The ascent up to the 3,352 feet summit of Ampersand Mountain in snow was slow and steady. When we got there, the wind felt like it was blowing at 40+ MPH. The view was amazing, even though we were all struggling and fighting with the wind. The descent was fast and fun. It brought out the child in us. If we ever do this hike in the snow again, we must invest in those Dollar Tree butt slides!
